        If this one was an original EK I + Spange Combo, then it would have been a steal at that price indeed.
        350$ for this one! but originals sell for more then 10 this amount as far as I remember.

          ....exactly why I opened this thread. I don't have enough know-how on WW1 EKs or Spangen, but I wasn't optimistic about either.

            The EK1 looks like a good KO with a broken (or repaired?) catch.

              I bought it for a pittance some years ago. The Spange with plate was detached from the EK so I had a local jeweler reattach it.

                  Admittedly, I know nothing of Imperial EKs but I agree with Don in that the spange is a Floch.

                        They were in two pieces when I got them with remnants of the original silver solder on the cross.
