    Knight's Cross Count

Of the nearly 1400 members here I wonder how many Knight's Crosses ( confirmed originals ) are among us! I estimate less than .5%!! Of those who have the privalige of owning one or more, please, post pictures of your treasure..

                    BEAUTIFUL!

I have never owned one but they sure are nice. Interesting thought too!
How many survived?? Estimating that maybe 10,000 were made and 7,300 were given out. These have to be very rare ducks.

Given Bill that around 30% of the RK receipients did not make it through the war, however around 1,000 are still kicking around somewhere.

Interestingly, I have reviewed former posts in an attempt to quantify the amount of RK's that have been posted. The best count I have come up with is 10 and this includes mine. There must be more! Chris, Andy ( a mint S&l ) sorry I can't think of the owners name at the moment and the lovey L/52 from Prosper. I know there were more!

I've often wondered myself how many real Knight's Crosses are in existence. I'm happy to say, I own one, that was awarded to General major Ernst Konig who later on was awarded the swords. It's a lazy 2 in excellent condition. Unfortunately I do not have the capability of posting pictures.

Bill, that's the stuff we want!! Please, find someone to post it for you as I really think it's important to understand how RARE this award is!
I'm sure I'll piss some off but if you are confident of your cross show it off........Now if your 'gut' won't allow it you better do some research!
There has to be more than a 'baker's dozen' among the 1400 members here!

                              John,

Is there any specific characteristic -- comparable to the cross-hatching on the inside rim corners of a Juncker, or the "doughnut" suspension ring on a K & Q -- that can be used to determine the authenticity of an alleged S & L RK?
