    one-piece ek2

I have had this in my collection for several years and I am parting with it.
I have posted it in the past, but can't find the thread...

So I would like to hear some opinions on it, a fellow-collector is interested but would like to know more.

    It's a very chunky cross, one-piece brass.
    Silver-plated and then painted
    Nice and detailed.
Same construction like the one-piece schinkels

There isn't much to compare to, I know of one other example in a dutch collection, but that's all.
Never seen an ek1 in this shape either.

I don't know if it's an award-piece, private purchase piece or a display piece,
but IMO it is a pre-45 cross.

    So: fire away!

it 's an interesting cross Ben, someone else showed another like this one few months ago.
it 's nice and honestly I find it nicer and more convincing than an original one piece Otto Schickle, for example.
it 's a cross from pics and few infos could be original in my opinion. I have never handled an example to build, maybe, a better opinion.

      Hi fabri,

      thanks for your reply.

There are very few around, but they are very nicely made.
And made in the same way as other early crosses.
I always liked it a lot.

      Best regards,
      Ben

        Hi guys
In my opinion it's not Schickle, this is a Spanish-made cross
        Several variants of it

          Hi Sanya,

no, it's not a Schickle, fabri said that it looks nice compared to a Schickle.

          Spanish made?
          I don't know, but I don't think it is.
Spanish made ek's come in several "versions", but none has such straight arms.
I think it was made in Germany in the early years.
But that is just an assumption, no hard evidence or provenance.
          Just gut-feeling.....

I think because I have seen this cross
            and someone there told Spanish-made.
            Since it is this cross?
Because these errors were on point

              I don't recall that.
But you seem to have found the old thread, because it is the same cross.

Could be spanish made, but I don't think it is.
              Can't prove it either way...

                  Sure, why not...

                  But I still disagree.
                  I don't think it was spanish-made( = post-war)

Not sure what you are trying to prove Sanya?
Based one one other opinion in the previous thread it must be a spanish made ek??

If you compare it to the spanish made crosses you can see a very big difference in quality.

But if you want to believe it is spanish made: fine with me.
