    EK II opinions

I have another nice unmarked EK II. I really like it, the strong patina and thick rings give it kind of a sinister, dark look

Couldn't find out the maker, can you help me? My best guess would be a Paul Meybauer variant, but then again I don't really have a clue. Highres pictures here and here.

    Thanks a lot!

'23' frame with Meybauer core. One of my favorite EKII combinations.

I really like your highres feature option here. I have not yet learned how to perform this on my computer/software. It's really clever.

I have one cross with a lot of patina like yours. I hope you won't mind me showing it here along with your cross. In hand it looks very, very dark. But, under lighting it takes on a little different look...

Robert, that's actually quite easy: Upload your high resolution picture to a free image hoster (I use imgur.com, you can use it without registration and they keep the image as long as it gets 1 view per 6 months). Open the uploaded image in highest possible resolution (there should be a zoom button somewhere or you just have to click on it). If the zoomed picture is embedded in a web page, right-click on it and select "view image" or open it in a new browser tab. Then copy the URL from the address bar.
When editing your post, click "Insert Link" () in the toolbar and paste that URL. Simple as that

I like your dark cross, especially on the 2nd picture you attached. Very well done, perfect illumination and composition.

              Thank you Dirk,

I'll give this a try. Wish me luck as I fumble through it.
