My goodness! What a nice collection! Look at those 1st pattern spanges, and I believe I see either a Meybauer or Deumer EKI Schinkel on the right. What a box of chocola...goodies you have!

        Robert,

It's a Meybauer Schinkel. I posted it separately under is this a Schinkel? Or something close to that. Thanks for the complinent.

          Tony,

Yes I know that. But as my very good friend George L. reminds me " they are the finest of fakes".

Kind of hard on the tooth but easy on the eyes.

What is the highlight of your display ?

              Gentlemen,
We've been having such a great time sharing chocolates and the such that I really hate to be the bearer of bad news.....very , very bad news. I don't know whether to burden you guys with it.

Oh what the hell we're all big boys here......ready?

There's five more boxes of chocolates......

              All the best,

              Tony

The first four from the top left are garbage...I will trade you a box of chocolates for them just to rid you of such things.

                Outstanding collection. Good for you.

                Cheers,

                Glen

                  Manayunkman.....

That's a very good question that I don't really have a good answer to. I suppose the ancient iron cross collecting mantra best applies here....."More is not enough."

I like alll the crosses I've acquired. I got them because I found something esthetically pleasing about each one. Buy what you like and you will be happy.

I suppose the best way to describe the highlight of the collection is the Chase. The actual act of collecting is the 'highlight'.

                  All the best.

                    Glen...

I have to agree with you. They look pretty grungy. I'll have to shine 'em up a bit. No soldier would wear them that way.

                    All the best.

The frames look wide for a Schinkel, but it might possibly be a Juncker wide frame Schinkel. Here's an exploded view of a Juncker wide frame Schikel for you to compare yours to...

Look for the die flaw 'lines' in the inside corners of the frame between the beading and the flange steps.
