Uuumm I'm leaning towards not good.

It's the lid liner and material over the hinge I'm not so keen on, also the perhaps the catch head.

The base isn't a snug fit, it's either been taken out before or just sloppy.

The outside isn't half bad though ?

I confess I'm stuck to a degree on this one, and at this moment in time can't give you a positive answer.

Thanks for your input Marcus. I appreciate your interest. The case is no match to my other wartime issue ones and to be honest I was more interested in the ek1 than the case. The case was a bonus to keep the cross in a case, which is nicer than most shiny repros you find today.

having a closer look, if the frame is a wartime issue, only zimmermann has that type of eye. But I must now compare the whole cross to verify.
