EK1 Iron Cross - Original?

Hello guys,

Got this EK1 in today and I'dd like to ask you medal-guys for an opinion because
I don't collect them, more uniforms and equipment.

It's an unmarked example with magnetic core. Looks like a 3 piece construction
and I can slit a piece of paper between the core and the upper part.

There is also black paint on the inside of the upper part, is this normal?

It might look a little shiny but that's because the previous owner always cleans
his medals with WD40 anti rust spray I tried to clean most of it of
with an ear cleaning stick and some kitchen roll paper.

Is it possible to know which manufacturer made this medal by looking at its
construction?

How do you mean Tony?

The lower portion of the number '3' is a little lower than the lower portion of the other numbers in '1939', hence 'dipping 3'.
