Maybe nickel silver plated, as early-mid period originals were. It just looks a lot like the bad spange I gave a link to.
Let's wait and hear from the spange experts, like jon or Jim. They'll give a conclusive determination as to it being original or not. I could be of more assistance if I had my computer back up running again. Mine crashed during a lightning storm two weeks ago and I've been stuck using my wife's computer without my vast files.
I am currently in Germany and don´t have access to my files. But it looks like there is a seam across the top of the wing (if there is it is a fake). It would help to have a darker picture and a good shot of the head. But I don´t recognize this spange. Jim

Thank you for chiming in Jim,
I'm also concerned with the absence or near-absence of pebbling both in the wreath and date bar. It looks like there is very little.
Robert
Edit: The wing span looks wider than the date bar width. Both should be the same width I would think. It looks like the spange is wider than the (30mm) ribbon, or the ribbon is a 25mm wide ribbon. Not of any real concern (the ribbon), but I am concerned with the wing and date bar width difference.
