I had thought Souval made these. Regardless, it is way different from the odd date or round 3 straight arm form.

The date is wrong for an odd date, that is one thing that gives it away. Ironically, the odd date on this one makes it not an original odd date.

In fact it's a "Schinkel B" type cross that was produced by Souval. There also exists a EK1 variant of this Schinkel B-type. An interesting fact is that both, the EK1 and EK2 consist of the same core parts. There are some excellent pictures on this forum showing the individual parts of this EK type.

              Regards,
              Alex

I take it back, it is Souval. Those are excellent pictures sanya, is the core actually in two pieces? Very clever idea

are the cores on wartime EK2's two pieces as well?

                      Once I found a market (I photographed)
                      I almost fell for it.
Do I look like a used old cross, all of a sudden he can be convincing

I owned at one time numerous Souval RK's which at the time I believed to be originals, costs were low so I spent. I did have at least 2 examples with exactly the same two sided inner core, made from two individually stamped sides. they felt so light that when I opened the outside door the draught moved them across the table!!! I eventually could not resist the temptation to pull one apart as I felt it could not be original pre-45. I appear to have been proved right! the remainder actually ended up it the sh*t bin. I retain one purely for curiosity value

                        regards
