Correct Box for Spanish Cross in Gold?

I was asked if this is a correct case for the Spanish Cross in Gold? Thanks in advance.

    Hi Craig,

Generally, a SGiG with 900 silver, which would have been an issued cross, came in a red or maroon case with a gold boarder. One such set was posted here just a few days ago.

This green case with the LDO logo would have housed a non silver SGiG with or without an LDO maker or a SGiB. In other words, a private purchase piece.

IMO, both case and SGiG are orginal but are not the correct match.

Here is a great thread about the correct Spanish cross cases.

Appreciate the feedback. I asked Wolfe and Hardin and Jason Burmeister, and both said the combination, as offered, was acceptable.

Acceptable yes. Both case and cross are very nice and original. I would definitely have it in my collection.

But here is the correct issued SGiG 900 silver set.

Here is my SGiG stamped L/13 which would be a correct set in your green LDO case.

According to them, mostly the earliest crosses came in the red case.

That's what Andrew said in post #2.
