EK 2 ribbon, weird cut

Hello all,

Please see this thread as I can't post photos on this site, even though I am a member.

Anyhow, the ribbon is cut on an angle on the back part, is there a reason for this? Also, read about the KvK ribbon that I am looking for please.

The ribbon you show is 178 mm in length. A full length of EK2 ribbon is 285 mm to 295 mm in length. Someone has cut away around 110 mm. That piece has probably been used on a uniform.

Thanks for the idea. I think it is possible that the extra 110mm ribbon was used on the tunic. I had never thought about that. Were the tunic displayed ribbons usually cut on an angle as well? Please let me know either way. Thanks again.

Yes. Ribbons that went through the button hole, could be cut at an angle.
