EK 1st Class - Hook doubt??

I would like to know if the Iron Cross First Class are open all on the same side or are there some that open to the other side. What manufacturers that manufactured of this way?

I've seen this left opening on EKI marked L/59 or unmarked but same constructor for hardware caracteristic.

You mean L59....not L/59.(right?)..for example shown above. Question: would all L/59's and L59's have the same charachteristics?(re:hook direction)
