        Ciao Trevor,
        IMO is not good.

The little ring is attached as the KWK 2nd class with or W/out swords.

Another check is the mm, no original ones are made with LDO mm on rear.

Why ? Because the Spanish War during since 1936 until 1939..... the LDO born many years after the end of war.

Probably the LDO made during the War II for Family Veterans who lost the original or like a 2nd dressing copy, the originals awarded around to 315 pieces, but i'm sceptic to made they with different LDO mm ( I've seen L/12 and L/58) I think are purely fake.

Only one grade, to my personal knowledge, was produced form J.GODET & SOHN (the only official factory during the Spanish War) in bronce and the back is little slightly convex inward and smooth w/out marking.

Just one time I've seen one of this with the "J.GODET & SOHN - MUNCHEN" punched on rear, but the owners didn't really want to let me see more close up in my hands.

Also a specific case was produced..... ahh (I was forgetting) ....... the band is, on official medals, rolled and in back engaged wit a little iron plate wit pin, hinge, catch group.

The design change if the recipient was a male or female parents.

Thats are my two cents and sorry for a long post.

Have a nice day to everyone.

Thanks very much for your help guys.

Max, thanks for the detailed explanation.

If the cross you saw said "J.GODET & SOHN - MUNCHEN" then you did well to pass since Godet was in Berlin

If you see one of these marked Godet, run a mile.

                Thanks Stan,
when I saw, years ago, that marked "GODET" I thought it was a model that was served as a slide show or prototype.

Then I discovered, also seeing originals come out of the veteran families , this decoration is NEVER stamped at the rear.

P.S. I have some problems to express myself with the English, I apologize, sometimes it seems that I want to be a teacher or would like to pose as a phenomenon of the moment .... have patience will surely try to improve.

                Thanks
