Is it possible to tell if these are OK from such a small photo. The EK 1 seems to have a brass centre which is coming through as a gold colour

Sadly not. These are for sale in a local auction house and I grabbed a quick snap on my phone while no one was looking.

Yes, it's a Schickle. And the other one is a "27." In my opinion the EK1 is not really collectible because of its problems. The "27" is very common.
