KVK with swords... Good or Fake?

    Hello fellow forum members,

I'm asking this question for a friend of mine, he got this KVK with swords.
But he has some doubts about originality.

    The medal has no makermark.

For me, it looks and feels as a good and original piece.
But I'm curious to the judgement of collectors who are more specialized to this KVK subject.

    Thanks in advance guys,

It looks okay to me. I checked it against the 5 1st classes that I have & your friend's is nicely
cutout & finished-off nice. I don't have the "round" catch on any of mine as his does so I went
into the "Flosch" File & couldn't find his version in there either.

        Ron.

Looks too well made for souval....and most of the souvals are marked L/58 in a small rectangular mark somewhere on the badge. I appears old, pesty, and p_ _ _ ed on, but it may be OK? I have not seen that exact hardware on any of mine, but there are exceptions to every rule it seems with the number of companys making these badges...lets see who else has an opinion on originality. One charachteristic of these is usually there is solder that holds the silver wash on the hinge and hook where it was soldered , even if the badge has oxidized the zinc. But IMO, the soldering for this hardware was done very cleanly, and rofessionally by the looks of it..
