    DKiG good or fake?

I'm out of my depth here being mostly a helmet collector. This one is being offered as part of an estate of a collector who passed away recently. So far everything else in the small, but high-quality collection has proven authentic, so on that basis I figured this one had a chance. I couldn't see any obvious flaws, but then again I don't really know anything about this stuff. I've asked for photos of the back of the piece and am waiting for these, but in the mean time I thought I'd post what I've got to see what the experts think.

By the way, I couldn't find the discussion thread on fakes of this type. Maybe this should be pinned.

    Thanks in advance,

    Mark D.

Looks good so far but do need to see the back, looks stone mint.It has the 11 o'clock flaw so I think a Zimmerman cross but wait for expert eyes and more photo's to be certain but I think a very nice DKig.

      Hello Mark,

So far, it looks really nice and about as mint as mint can be. I look forward to seeing a picture of the reverse.

      Best regards,

Now that is what I would call mint! Lets see the back and hope it wasn't made yesterday.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

agreed. Looks to be a good Zimmerman from the front but we need to see the reverse for sure!

                  additional photos

It's taken forever to get these photos. The seller dropped off the map, but recently resurfaced to send these photos. Thoughts? Do people still think this looks good?

The stamp on the pin obverse looks like "20" according to the seller. He had trouble getting a good photograph of this feature.
