I've owned a number of these throughout my years of collecting, keep coming back to them. From the two I owned in mint condition to an example with very dark patina and wear I found no difference in their detailing or weight. So, to say there are different types (type 1, type 2, early, late, etc.) I cannot say. I keep looking for slight variations but have found none thus far. One interesting feature, they have all been made of silver-plated buntmetal, no zinc examples.
