Vaulted LDO marked EK's

Hi all,
What are your thoughts on genuine manufacturer vaulted EK1's with LDO maker marks? I've been offered a couple at times that seem right in all repects but I'm always curious as to whether they fit into the time frame for LDO marks. What I mean is were vaulted decorations banned from official production prior to the inception of the LDO? What's the general feeling on this?

Although I've never considered them with regards to any kind of timeline, I have several vaulted LDO-numbered EK 1s and I don't have any problem with them.

Thanks George. I have seen a number that look spot on. My thoughts are were they profesionally vaulted by a jeweller afterwards or was the service offered for private purchases "under the counter" in contravention of the rules. Just food for thought really.
