DKiG grouping to Oblt Eduard Kaumanns

Picked up this nice group which was sold by his son at auction here in the UK. Kaumanns was in IR.9 then 23. Infanterie Division and was one of the earliest DKiG recipients on 15.12.41.
His well worn heavy Zimmermann is inscribed on the reverse ED KS 15.12.41.
Also his EK1 has scratched in award date of 13.6.41 and IAB 12.8.41.

The plate is Meissen and must be rare as I haven't been able to find any reference to this pattern. He went on to become an Oberst in the Bundeswehr commanding Panzergrenadier Brigade 31 1968-69.

I doubt the DKiG is the original awarded piece. It would be too early for a Zimmerman. That doesn't mean it is not original to the group though. Can you show more of the ek1 and IAB?
