EK1 for your review

Hi guys,
I've been offered this cross, but have some bad feelings about it, Can you help me out here?

It looks like a 1-piece cross, a fake. You can see the cores' paint up on the sides of the beading.

This type of hinge is not found on any period EKI, IMO. The catch is not any known period manufacturer's style either.
