I wonder if one-piece iron crosses have ever existed? I recently saw an IC (I class), and it was one-piece strike. Do you have any ideas?

Well, mine is just one example. It doesn't necessarily establish that all one-piece EKs are good. Can we see the cross your friend has?

How do you know that yours is good, George? The hinge arrangement looks a bit odd to me. But I'm no expert, of course.

That´s an excellent example of an one-piece EK 1.

And don´t forget the early Schinkel crosses – both 1st and 2nd class.

george's cros is definately original. i have two eks of the same maker with screwback in my collection.
