Honest evaluation? No It is a postwar copy and not well made at that, from a manufacturer that had no license to produce this award during 1939-45. He may well have had dies to produce these and at the end of hostilities decided to bash these out for the "Tourist market" at the time and continued to do so until the 1980's. As to value $50 tops, they are fakes! pay more then you are throwing money away. I have a drawer full of Souval RK's Ol's and OLS's, EKi's EKII's I've collected over the years, I call it my trashcan, I'm sure I will get shot down but you asked the question, this is my opinion.

              regards

There is a possibility that the ribbon is good as early Souval's were sold with original ribbon.

ribbon might be original, the rest is post-war fake designed to fool the GI's and others who were looking for original trinkets to take home. Souval gave them what they wanted particularly with the RK, and continued to do so

In the end people can spend what they want on these items but the truth is these were never pre 45 decorations and as such were costume jewellery.

As to value, these have over the years reached a certain value in their own right, "Genuine Souval RK" etc, A fake is a fake is a fake, to Quote an old US proverb, " If it looks like duck, Walks like a duck, sounds like a duck, then it's most probably a DUCK"

Well, I'll buy out that drawer for that 50 USD at any given time

What Matthieu said. I'd love a $50 Souval RK as I'll never manage the $10000 plus for a real one. Got to agree, this isn't a nice exampleof a Souval. I'm more than happy to buy some of that junk.

Dmytro, A nice "original" Souval RK can easily go for more then 50$.
So if you want to empty your trashcan for maybe 60$ for each Souval RK, I am pretty sure they will be gone in a really short time.

                            /Flemming

PS by "original" I do ofc mean a RK producer by Souval, and I am not tryne to imply that they might be producer before May 1945

Am I too late to get in on this "trash can" deal? In fact, I'd pay A hundred bucks for any Souval RK that's together and not busted in pieces. Just check to see what they bring on the estand bazaar section. Anyone who apparently dislikes them so much and has a whole bunch rattling around in a trashcan would be missing a great chance of selling them off and getting rid of them. My offer stands anytime.
