            I guess I'm the only one old enough to remember that these boxes were
            commonly available, and sold as well-made reproductions, over 35 years ago by European dealers.

              And here are the cased S&L Oakleaves at the Leipzig trade show in early 1941, coinciding with the debut of the LDO. I wish we could see the box better........

                That is a fabulous reproduction and will fool many but there are just enough red flags to identify it for what it is.
