everything seem ok? it does to me... core is separate and frame is 2 piece.

I have a mint ek2 which is very nice... however this one really has that "battle worn" look that I love..

My favorite, nice cross.

I have heard others say K&Q is their favorite maker... Any reason why? Is the quality better than other makers or are there other reasons?

This is my first EK1 so I am not well versed in minutia relating to them.

For me it is great quality and shape. I like the look of the swaz and numbers and particularly the beading. The soldering is usually of a very high standard.
