        Hello,

i believe it is a fake. The "65" is quite different to marked EK's . This type of clasp turned up with different marks, like L11 and others.

        Greetings

          spange ek 1

          Hello NIck,

Im with Heinrich66 on this one, i do not like the general appearance from the clasp => look at the eagle, not that much detail, the legs are just plain, the wreath is strangely formed and has weird detail , the pebbeling in the numberschield shows very unequal , the first 9 is not the same as the second 9 in 1939 , etc ... im sure others can spot other things also.

At least not one i should touch for the collection => have a look at the estand i believe one of our members is selling a clasp ek 1 with case for a reasonable price, i dont know if it still available but im sure thats something you like

Just my .02 eurocents worth ,
