Another interesting example is Unteroffizier Hans Siegler, who on August 12th, 1944, got the EKI, RK and TDB in Silver.

He looks like he's maybe only 15 -16 years old.

He was one month less than 20 years old at the award day. He died in 1991.

I think he is getting something different, lid of the case in his hands is rectangular in shape and case for the RK-EK1-EK-2 set is more square like the other guy is holding .

Hitler is holding some sort of book/ folder/ signed photo/ stamp collection etc, the awards are waiting in the case the other guy is holding

Looks more like an open case, than a book .
Did Hitler ever gave any signed books or photos at what looks like an award presentation ? Docs or folders are much bigger in size. What the other guys are holding is what they got awarded with.

And the bold guy is looking on what is in side of the case, because he didn't get the same .....

Since we are talking here about foreign RK recipients (also), I've never seen a photo of Admiral Miklos Horthy wearing his cross.

Does anybody have a photo of him with the Ritterkreuz?

Correct me if I am wrong but I think Michael Wittmann's gunner Balthasar Woll got his EK1 and RK awarded on the same day .
