    Repainted core ?

I spotted this one on the net. It's marked and from a maker I haven't got in my collection so I'm tempted although it's from a source I've not bought from before which is a bit daunting. It looks okay to me although the description suggests the core may have been repainted.

    What do you think ?

If it has been its been very well done. I'll be interested to hear from the experts about it. On first look I wouldn't have thought so, but others will know specifically what to look for.

Not repainted IMO. There is no paint on the beading.

      Best regards

Looks like a 6, so if you have any doubt my advice is, pass. These aren't too hard to find.

I see no issues regarding the paint...

Very interesting. Thanks for all the help everyone.
Streptile - it is indeed advertised as a Zimmerman 6 ! I'm impressed at your ability to identify crosses.
It's going for a reasonable price of $120 but I may be being a little over keen as I haven't bought a cross for nearly two weeks and I'm aching for another one !
