It is not a Lazy 2 but rather a fake.
Whoever falls for this in this day and age doesn't deserve better. But somebody will be overcome by lack of knowledge, greed and the crazy idea that nobody else saw that bargain.

Yep got one myself, complete with case ribbon and outer carton, freely available on E-bay and also being sold on e-stand, ok for space fillers at the price stated, but nothing else

I personally have no problem with these or this particular item, it is a passible copy of an RK, even if you have the etui and outer carton which comes with it. It IS a modern 3 piece copy produced in China within the last few months, (And not even years), and if sold as or accepted as a modern specimen, buyers can decide for themselves, for many, a reasonable copy is better than nothing, many can't afford the real thing. providing that is accepted and understood then there's no problem. As Dietrich has pointed out unfortunately many, many novice collectors will be fooled by such items. Not all collectors have the benefit or experience to distinguish between the two. I have a sinking feeling that these will keep popping up time and time again

                    regards

As discussed elsewhere these have the wrong dimensions, but with lots of filing can be made to look quite respectable. They are an ok face on copy, but thankfully the flanges on the frames are all wrong, being at least twice as thick as they should be on both outer and inner faces. That's what makes them very easy to spot. The next generation will be a real worry because they will just keep getting better and better. You're quite right, they are a nice item for what they are. Of course, as has been said so often, buyers who don't do their homework first are just asking for trouble, and there are plenty of nasties out their happy to take their cash. Its what makes these sorts of sites so important.

Hi Tony, I agree, my own copy could do with a few hours with a fine metal file to remove obvious burrs and mis-alignment, but I couldn't be bothered, it was purchased for what it was, as you say eventually these things do "Age" and enter the collector market as "Originals", they are of course "orignials" in the sence that they are "Original" fakes, if that makes sense. The problem lies with the inexperienced or new very young collectors who enter the market and wish to own a RK, Of course there is no substitute for adequate research, but it doesn't always work that way, I have a trunk load of fake RK's Ive bought over time, including Souvals which in the end are, to me at least worthless, as I said earlier in this field, caveat empor

                          regards

I'd still like to get a Souval, they have at least some connection with war time production, but yes still a fake. At least they are a reasonable copy. One day.

But like many other things overpriced IMHO, my Souval cost me 30USD, and I would not pay anymore than that for one, and mine came with Souval hollow oaks, souval case to boot
