    IMO, it is a Souval

IMO it is a Souval post war made. It's very thick & the location of the 800 mark make me think my opinion is correct. Tom

It is very nice looking from the front view. It shows some problems from the back view.

Suspension has 6 nice looking 'bars' design on front....All look the same thickness. But, when you turn the cross over the back of those 'bars' are not the same thickness & do not look alike in & of themselves.

'Beading' looks really nice on the cross. Sword cut-outs look nice from the front. Not so nice from the back. That one particular sword hilt area is poorly cut-out & finished. On a "High" Order as this, I think the workmanship should be of high-quality. This piece, though it looks good from some views, doesn't come-up to the high quality it should command.

I wouldn't pay the $8,000.00 or so being asked for this piece....There are BETTER !

      Ron.

Beautiful & text-book post-war Souval Cross in great condition, very nice,
These Souvals are the highest quality & most sought after post-war crosses around, If you are looking for a high quality reproduction RK KvK with swords then this is it.

Not 8.000 Euro but at 1.200 Euro surely a joke ???
One can always try at that price, but guess the value should be around 1/4 of that ....

If you have ever seen an original the differences are dramatic, but this is OK for filling the space in a collection or for a display, but worth scrap price, and another couple hundred USD. Somewhere around 3 to 350.usd max would be pushing it. Some collect these post war pieces, but maybe in the future somewhere down the road it could someday be worth what you are talking around a thousand, as money becomes more worthless and inflated. They made these by the thousands, and I still have a L/58 souval non silver version .... at least this one is silver. Good luck with the sale.

sure 1200 is a sick price ... but 300 also ... but it is certainly one of the rarest pieces Souval postwar, my last Souval RK I have sold here in the forum for 500 €

Selling a Souval at ANY price is bad enough, but some poor jerk just may pay your asking price. Unbelievable ! Just plain stupid ! But at least your asking price gave me a good laugh....oh well
