              Thanks for your responses guys! I've always really liked this one for its unique look, the depth between the top of the beading and the core gives it a great appearance, I think.
              Forgive my ignorance, but I've been searching and can't find these answers.

              - I see there are thick and thin "unknown" makers. Are they thought to be the same unknown maker, or just two different unknown makers?

              -Is the dipping 8/3 always found on these unmarked thick round threes?

                  No, the dipping 8/3 is uncommon. You will find the thick version with different styles of round 3s. Jim
