EK 1 class identification

Hello all.

I`m a new member from Finland, and just found this great forum to join. I`m new to iron crosses, so don`t know much about them. Allready have question for id. to EK 1 which came to me a while ago, and is unmarked.

I have stared my eyes burned different examples of crosses to identified that EK 1, and found just as like from 5tefans EK 1 DNA list. It is a like all other details, but info given reacting magnet says no, mine will react ? Any opinnion about that ?

With EK 1 DNA list it is Wächter & Lange "100 with regular pin set up, but round catch.

Ok, if i can use this for the pics reference, it is just a like http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...%E4chter+Lange. Only what is different, that core is magnetic, while info in EK 1 DNA says no ?

Great thanks to all of your help / opinions about the cross, especially Blitz who add those pics here !

As you see, ( stupid of me ) i`v handled that cross with my greasy fingers. Does anybody have any tips to get that core back as matte finish as it should be. Maby talc or somewhat powder slightly used perhaps...?
