Help on EKI 1939

It is a fake EKI.

Yep, most definitely a Floch. Three easily-identified features, seen together, indicate a Floch EK1:

1) Notch on top of pin, near hinge block;
2) Very low date (almost touching the beading on the 6 o'clock edge); and
3) Cross-hatched beading on the inner corners nearest the swastika.

Before I knew better, I purchased a cross that looked exactly like this one (except mine was marked "L11") - luckily I was able to return it to the dealer for a full refund (the cross fooled him, too).

There are more features that are sometimes present (see pinned article on Floch crosses), but these 3 features are the easiest to see at a glance.
