I wonder if there are any docs there for award of the KM Mine-sweeper badge?

I know a number of these where handed out post war to the crews of ships doing water-mine clearance.

Yes, some, but not many MS badges were awarded, specifically there are several recommendations for both the MS badge and EKI and II for crew members of MRS 25, which was minesweeping off the Lofoten islands when it hit a magnetic mine on the 18th Jul 45 and sank.

Bringing this thread up to date with a new pair of docs just arrived today.

In this case an EKI to an Unteroffizier who had previously won the EKII back in 1942 whilst serving with the 269 Inf.Div. outside Leningrad, unfortunately, the rest of his awards aren't there.
At some point, after may 43 he was promoted and transferred to Festung Btl. A (why this particular battalion was given the designation A and not a number i don't know)

The doc is typed on thick card like paper and without access to the award lists i would have been sceptical, but sure enough, there he is, the doc is signed by the kommandant of Festung Bergen Carl André, DKiG
