Just wanted to know what the going rate on an ek1 with original case is.I realize it could depend on quality, mm and anything I may not be aware of.

I would say $350-400 for a nice cased EK. But like you said, condition definitely has something to do with it. A nice frosted one in mint shape would be more. -

Average price yes : 350 to 500 $ .
Some but very few EK1s cased do go over 1000 Dollars - like a mint case R3 EK1 .
Proven provenance puts a whole new demention onto the price .
