Yes, very different. The price was probably too good to be true. I had definitely never seen the number marked like that before.

The cross itself looks good, can anyone identify it from the frame characteristics?

There have been a few 65's appearing lately with this maker's mark. Anyone else seen one?

I picked up this UNMARKED K & Q recently.....at least everyone told me that it was a K & Q.

Panzerman's cross does look good to me.
no doubt marked to increase value, but the cross itself seems OK, dontchathink?
maybe a dodgy dealer marked some unmarked pieces with the only 'small-number' tool he had avaliable...
