    EK 1 - Feldwebel Schutter

I bought that one with the name of the recipient engraved back of it. Where can I find informations about this Feldwebel Schutter ? Do you know what kind of EK 1 ? I did not find any mark back of it :

Thanks for your help in advance,

    Erich

Do you have ANY other info? Just having his last name - unless he happens to be a KC winner or some such - is very, very little to go on. It's like looking for a needle in 20 haystacks.

And sorry, no idea on the maker. It does look like the core has been re-painted though.

I knew it would be very difficult to answer this question. I don't have any other information about that Feldwebel. I wander if The Bundesarchiv could have a record of German soldiers named Schutter, awarded EK 1 during WW2.

The only other info I have : Schutter put his EK 1 in a WW1 box. I'm afraid this won't help !

There was at least 8 Schutter on the Kriegsgraeberfuersorge site that are listed killed/missing in WW2. No telling how many they don't have, plus all the others that didn't die.

Plus, there's really no telling WHO put your EK1 in the case.

Pretty much, you've got a named cross. Whoever FW Schutt was, you'll likely never know.

          Hi Hank,

I know my request was almost impossible to answer. But since I've seen the high level of specialist on that forum, I just took a chance. I'm already satisfied by your answer.

          Thanks,

          Erich
