    Jacob Fuchs KC group

I purchased this from a New Zealand dealer via Canada. I have added a genuine KC ribbon and box from Bill Shae. I have retained the broken shoelace that he used to suspend the medal(!). The group was purchased with; the Close Combat Clasp; Wound badge; Iron Cross First and Second Class. I have added the Winter War medal; Assault badge and Krim shield to 'flesh out' the grouping.
I have not mounted the group in a more flattering way, as I may yet trade it on a 'better' group complete with award documents and certificates.

      Hi Ted

Any idea what happened to the bayonet that was part of the original group sold by emedals? I am guessing Geoff wasn't able to (or didn't want to) import it into NZ.

If you could track it down it would make an excellent addition to the group (and keep the history all together).

You have a really nice group that displays well.

Geoff told me that it was separated from the group in Canada. I have emailed them about it, but haven't had a response. Pisses me off, frankly. The certification that I got from Geoff doesn't mention the bayonet, so he's not holding out on me. But I have seen the original photo of the group, and there it is. So....who knows. I'd be keener to get the award documents from the family! But I'm not going to push the issue.

            Fuch's bayonet

The original grouping had the bayonet which had his name scratched into it.
It was a lovely piece of history, E Medals had it for sale for a while I believe.

Just the bayonet? Or the whole group? I'm trying to track the bayonet down.

Maybe they still have the bayonet?

I reckon the bayonet must not have been imported. I heard Geoff DIDN'T import this group but another who bought it to onsell it in New Zealand, for a decent profit I might add.

Money driven motive rather than collector driven if that was the case, with the loss of the bayonet.
