    Hello
I agree with Trevor. Front side is that one well known of the straight 9 Schinkel type, on the back side I see a 100% original set-up, for example that pin have been used by some manufacturers in the '40 years, so I believe there was just a problem during the solder of frame and backplate.

I think this is some sort of 57 piece, I also think that the case is from the 57 era. But I do think that it contains many if not all original parts.

            Hi Martin :

A late reply as I could not find the thread again amongst other things .
I had a closer look at this and there are some issues with this cross .

I am not commenting on originalty on any of the parts .

It is about the assembly of parts that are used and workmanship that lacks quality - a messed with cross . I would think a Jewler - exspecialy war time - would have ground down and matched the frame halves perfectly .
No certainty if this modification took place war time or post war .... but if I were to guess - I would join Schònbeck and lean twords post war :

A post war attempt to maybe de-nazify the cross with WW1 core ... ?
Or post war just some one creating a cross out of left over parts - as the pin is not original to the backing ... ?

A cross with issues : - I think should be mentioned ... a lot more better crosses out there .
