Nick, very light surface rust. The cross is magnetic. Jim

This is a very nice core in this Meybauer. The top edges of the swasi are sharp-cornered, unlike so many of the Meybauers I have seen or owned. Just a wild guess, but perhaps this is one of the first cores from fresh dies.
