EK1 & EK2 Unusual variants, good or bad?

I just received these in the mail yesterday. I'm not sure if they are good or bad. Take a look and let me know:

    Re the EK2:
I've never seen such a small brass ribbon loop before!
Is there any maker that did this?
The ribbon looks good under blacklight, the metal frame glows purple.

EK2 44 mm, magnetic, small 10 mm tombac ring, 17.5 gm.
EK1 45 mm, magnetic, flat back, flat pin, 22.5 gm.

I can't recall a pin like this before.

The pin, catch, and back are flat as a pancake.
I can't open it without bending the catch to make room.
Is that how they were issued?
There is no silver finish on it at all.

I 'm sorry but that EKI is a known fake.
I have some hopes for the 2nd class though that is a replaced ring.

I agree with fabri, the 1st class is known as the floch-fake.

As fabri says the ek2 ring looks to have been replaced.

          kind regards John
