    Opinions on an EK II

I would appreciate any opinions on this EK II. I am sure, and have been told that this is a textbook Deumer EK frame and core. When I took photos, it showed something that I was not able to see either with the naked eye or under magnification. The ring appears to be maker marked L/10.
    Thanks in advance,
    Ralph.

        Ekii l/10

Hello, L/10 pecked EKII have surfaced to date no. Shown hallmark looks like L/11 at the top is something missing.

          Thank you for your input.
Here is another photo of the maker's mark. It does not appear that there are two 1's after the /
          Thanks,
          Ralph.

That does look like L/10 on the ring from that last pic. Curious...

The 1939 date looks like the L/11 style though.

That last digit still looks circular to me. Could it be the bottom part of the number "8" (as in L/18 BH Mayer?).

Also, isn't L/10 the Deschler mark?

                      Regards,
                      Eric

It could also be a "6"
                        L/10 is Deschler.
I know that this is a Deumer (L/11) fame and core, I just do not see that on the ring.
The ring is closed so, either not a replacement, or it was done properly.
Since the finish on this core is un-mistakeable, does anyone else have an example with this finish that they could post?
Thank you all for your opinions.
                        Ralph.

Also for me the mark not is L/11.

Pheraps L/16 or L/18, so strange but not imposiible.

                            It is L/11!
Both L/16 and L/18 stamps looks very different from this style.

Ralph, try to put a thin piece of paper over it and rub it with a pencil.
Maybe that will show the mark..

IMO it's L/11, which it should be...
