Is this a 'straight arm' EKII?

Asking for confirmation on this cross being a 'straight arm' variant.

    Any help would be appreciated...

Having just read two threads on these I'm almost ready to say yes, but we'd better wait for someone who actually knows. Very interesting and good looking crosses. The arms are not straight as such, just straighter than normal. The beading is very interesting where it meets on the outer corners. Smooth and rounded rather than the Souval claw or the more defined point.

      Thanks Tony,

I just did a search (which I should have done at first) and found an identical cross under the heading 'straight leg'. I feel very comfortable with this cross being an original period cross.

        Hi.
        This is exactly "straight arm"!
See also the the specific "3" in the date!

        See other thread -

Yes, a very nice variant EKII. I see the '3' as a very near match to a Meybauer '3'. Not that the straight arm cross is connected with Meybauer, no, just that the number '3' resembles a Meybauer '3'.

Thank you for the link. Much appreciated.

Interesting cross Robert : Original yes as you know now .
It reminds me of a Godet / Zimmermann mutation - variation . I have a Godet EK1 - low bead count however -- but the same matching "blobby" out side corners !?! Your core ... I think ... is it not close to a Godet EK1 core ??

Yes, could be comparable to a Godet or Zimmermann core, although the bottom of the '3' on the Godet's or Zimmermann's are 'rounder', filled out more.

                  Thank you Nick,

Getting back to the dates here's a comparison between the straight arm (above), and a Godet (below)...
