Dear comrades. I saw this beautiful cross, which the seller says it is original, but the price (relatively low) I wonder is it a fake or is this genuine iron cross "51" of Eduard Gorlach & Söhne-Gablonz. Is inusual "hersteller" .Thanks to all for review. Manu.

Sorry but this is a very bad fake, any EK1 marked 51 or 61 are fakes. This is a very common fake made by the thousands in Poland.

Hello fellow.
Since I assumed that something was "rotten in Denmark" when calls only 80e ... This particular seller sells more fakes, and indicates that they are fakes, but this cross indicates the original. And it certainly is a piece that could lure more of a collector novel,. Well done. Luckily I have not been purchased.

Why buy?

Hi Manu, you should scan the fakes gallery or the pinned thread under Iron Cross 1st Class Reproductions. It details a lot of the more common and uncommon Repros such as the one here. Your question on seller could be he either believes himself to be orig. or Why is he selling so cheap in the first place.

Already I was imagining that it was a falsification for the price. "Only" 80 €... It is very small for the relatively good condition, which this ek has. I have not spent myself for the imagination to buy it, but it was called me the attention. And I hope that this example serves you all to know that there are many falsifications with this marking.
