Got this beauty today at a flea-market in Wuerzburg Germany. It is almost mint and came with a matching issue envelope. The ring is marked 100 which matches the maker on the envelope. It also has the common lump on the upper arm where the ring connects to the medal. This is my second ek11 in two days, yesterday I posted a beat-up 24 marked cross. Ironically I paid less for this beauty then for the one I posted yesterday. But before I dance a jig I would love to hear your opinions on this one as I am still just a novice. Thanks , Greg

WOW!, Greg, youve been real lucky the last couple of days.
That #100 is a real gem! Super nice finish. Best to get that into
an air tight mount. Try not to handle it as the oil in one's fingers
can quickly start tarnish that will eventually turn black.
Keep hunting while you still have the luck. An RK might be around
the next corner.

Thanks Ken, I have been worried about the tarnish issue so I scanned it and it is sitting in a glass display case with everything else. I've had to gaurd it since I got home so my wife would't pull it out and play with it. Do you know of any specific cases made for our hobbie? I've been making do with a wood and glass cabinet I bought at a flea-market. Thanks, Greg

The wood display case you're using may not be the best. Depending
on what type of chemical finish was applied to the wood. I would
suggest Riker mount cases. I've used them for years and they are
especially made for fine collectables. Do a google search on the web
and you will find more info about these and companys that sell them.
BTW, you can let Ruth play with the cross but just make her put on
her fine, white evening gloves, first.
