Help needed - hit by con artist - a sad day !

I am very sorry to hear that a member here has been scammed again.
Just want to remind you on that scam where my friend was scammed over 3000,- Euro. And the scammer is aviously again member (with another name) in this forum

Hi Doug, sadly I can provide you with little additional info on this crook. I can only confrim he is out of Romania and as you now know, he simply steals pics and then tries to sell the items as his.

Truly sad thing that happened to you,I went through such time,too,and justice system did not offer any help in the end.
Have you thought about inquiring how much a private eye in Romania would set you back? Another possibility to strike back would be having his iphone infected by malicious code.

Nothing new sofar --- actualy frustrating trying to get any information ... 'the privacy act' is blocking me from getting anything . Being with the same bank for 32 years they are trying to get some more info from the Romanian bank .... to see if they will reveal if this person has an account there .

Not much has happened sofar and every thing is going at a snails pace .
My original bank transfer of 370 Dollars has not been returned yet . The bank in Romania is still trying to contact the person which has not come forward yet ??? Not sure what the 'holding timelimit' over there is . A person with that name and address could still open up an account and claim the money . After consultation the bank here has since changed the return demand to a , stop payment - " financial transfer of a criminal transaction/sale " -... which should stop the bank there now from trying to pay the funds out to somebody . Even though this small amount is insured only if lost or confiscated . For what it is worth the name and acount number are flaged in their system . The bank should now freeze that money as " proceds of crime " - obtained fraudelently . 2 member had already indicated how frustriting things can get . The test of the system starts now as the bank supposed to hand that money over to the police . The crucial point is here ... I should be inform by them and ask to file a 'complaint' . I f they - police there -will do that I do not know . This may be in Rumanian language - to which I am sure some member here will help me with should things actualy progress that far .

An aquaintance from some time back( 12 years ago) has contacted me that has a friend in Romania that will try and check some names and adresses when he has time .

The other request I have is to hear(PM) from anyone that is a data exspert that can help with IP and communication data tracing - as I have been able to get a few from other foren . I would like to send him 'some' message alright , ... just he will only ad me to his : block sender list .

At this time I would like to thank again for info and help we have gotten ....

Dear members of this Forum : ... a sad day !

As the title of this thread states I am quit sure now that I have been hit by an con artist . An transaction I had been working on for an month now has gone bad . I thought I had done everything carefully enough inspite of some odd events .

Things started unraveling when communication stopped and I found an award that belonged to another member . This was the 3rd time I had gone through all forum sections looking for this German Eagle award and unfortunetly never came across it in the first 2 searches .
I caught his lie - too late now - that I did not receive --> All brand new pictures !!!
I have been trying to contact norsk41elv - Jo'rn . owner in 2010 of this award .... through the forum . I have have located him , but not heared from him yet .

I posted this request for help in the Civil Organization forum yesterday .

I am hoping Jo'rn has sold his award and possibly got the real identity of the receipient/seller . ... a person from Greece but works in Romania as the seller indicated to me .
He goes by the name of : TASSOU Nikolaos and uses also a name in Greece to send internet payments to - in care of Karra Kosta . Online signing name - karrarask !

I fear the worst that we have been hit by a con artist for this and 73 other awards . This group of awards I bought are only a small number of a really impressive large collection . The seller was communicating daily for the last 3 weeks and Tuesday morning everything suddenly stopped after the first partial payment was made . I am out about 5000.- dollars right now . Daily emails have been un-answered .

As he has used pictures that were not his - I bet most pictures he sent me -100s !!!- may be a long time accumilation of stolen pictures .
As so many awards are involved her a chance some one may have dealt with this person in the past . The money is probably gone and trying to file at least a complaint with Romanian Authorities . Any help and suggestions with this matter is much appreciated here or by PM .
Would need some local person to perswede him to return the money .

Here the award that started it all and following only some pictures of the collection .... just to see if some one knows who this belongs to .

I am Greek and in the position to know that both names Kosta-s Karra-s and Tassou Nikolaos and Tassou Ermioni are definitely of Greek or Cyprous origin.
Also the Tassou is kind of not common to Grrece.To my mind,Tassou Nikolaos is the front man,or the master crook,deals with people and then passes on Tassou Ermioni's bank data(Ermioni is a woman's name).I think you should start from there,Podochori Mayor's Town Hall or local police.

This guy sent me an email a few weeks back with pics of stuff he was selling. I did happen to notice that the pics he sent I was able to find posted on the internet. Good thing I figured they were too expensive for me, and passed on them, or he woulda had another.
