Here's the latest addition to my collection !
This is an Iron Cross class 2 maker marked 40 Berg and Nolte.
Berg and Nolte crosses are one of the less common makers I have bought which makes researching them a little bit more difficult but I believe this example shows the characteristics of this maker.
The cross is magnetic and the ribbon doesn't glow under a UV light.
It has the extra soldering at the ring, the thickish paint application to the swastika and date on the front, the lightly stamped makers mark and the marks to the 1813 date on the reverse which I have observed in other examples from this maker.
Have I done good ?
