    Interesting EK2 variations

    Dear Friends,

I started digging my EK2's after I red the EK2 Master list topic and found few interesting pieces. I dont know wheter these are already included in the list, so I am asking your help to specify which types they are.

    1. I have heard this one called "half-schinkel", it is one piece construction - non magnetic core.

      3. and 4.

With a quick look I believe these have at least same core. Crosses are non magnetic and I believe both have a zinc core (Both nonmagnetic)

              Thanks for your input.

Any idea what #2 is? Do you have that variation in the master list?

                Very nice crosses Jani.

Can you please make close-ups on that strange EKII ?

Better pictures of #2 EK2 with plain reverse

I tried to take better pictures, unfortunately I have my secondary camera in use...

I did not intend to start this thread for marketing these crosses, but to gain knowledge - however it is fair to inform ones interested in these, that I am going to sell them - I only collect 1st class EK's.

Looks like a EK 1 core in an EK2 frame ?? Odd that it was accepted like that and even mounted as well .

                          Ek

Hello, I am not from a core EK1. I know of no cores for EK1 (1939), which are smooth rear. One would have to look behind the stamping / embossing of HK and the date. Learn how you like it.

Search EK2 (1939) with maker: 14, 21, (103, 136) + L Piece, + case and EK's (unmarked) by the manufacturer 12 (Frank Reif ), 28 (Eugen Schmidhäussler), 57 (Karl Hensler) with bag. Schinkel "B" with the round "3" and EK2 with the straight "9". Manufacturer 24 with extramarked "acorn". Schinkel piece of S + H and Assmann.
