I found a group today but left it, it seemed in order but the gut alarm went off. I could not make out the mm which was on the reverse bottom date side of the clasp. It looked L\ 59 or L\53, it was inside a rectangle.
For some reason it appeared good and tombak, I just put it down for some odd reason and declined. It reminds me on a Hymenn mm but it did not look like L\56. More like a 9 or 3. Does anyone know this clasp?
On a note the doc and American POW papers were in order.
It looks nothing like the reverse in Bobs clasp here

The prongs were mounted on faint round catch plates.
