EKII Spange

I bought this Spange several years ago and have never had it checked out on the forum.

Can you guys please let me know if everything is as it should be?

Also, if original, can someone please name the maker?

I think it is a fake.
One thing I do not like is the thickness, it looks rather thick.

It looks like a Schickle (L/15) and I think it is good. Please compare against mine. Jim

I agree with Jim, nice Schickle.

I have just checked the dimensions of this Spange:

Height = 31,22mm
Width of wingspan = 31,12

Thickness of date box = 2,19mm

If this is a Schickle, where abouts would the L/15 mark be?

Stan it would be on the back and most likely it is not marked. Jim

It is a good Schickle, but few Schickles are marked. If it's marked it would be on the reverse of the datebox or wreath.

It might be because I am watching the pictures at my iPad, but I really think it do look thick.

But guess I am wrong then.

Just look at the two Spanges, using my laptop.
I really do see some differences between thee two Spange.
I am going to post 5 pictures, where I am comparing different parts of the two Spange.

So the first two pictures is of the chest and datebar:

Next two pictures is of the feet and head.

Last picture is a side by side of the two Spange, where I have tried to rotate them, so that they allign up pretty ok.
I do know there's a difference in the angle of the two pictures, but I am still sure that there is a difference.
