German cross in silver winner, geschwaderintendenten Rodig

Picked this up at the Max ,my favorite item from the show. Does anyone have a photo of the naval officer? And what rank equivalent would this be ? I know he was a staff officer in FESTING LA ROCHELLE,which held out till May 8th,1945. Serving as base quartermaster. If like to find out what insignia he would wear as well.
